Chilean shrimp

Scroll

Species: Heterocarpus reedi

Our Chilean shrimp are, as the name implies, fished in Chile by coastal fishing boats, which are typically only at sea one day at a time. This is because the Pacific Ocean off Chile is so deep and cold that fishermen do not have to sail for many hours to reach the fishing grounds.

The shrimps are boiled, hand-peeled and frozen within 24 hours of being fished. That ensures the beautiful color and texture, as well as the great taste that makes this product so unique.

We recommend our Chilean Shrimp for a luxury shrimp salad, as part of an appetizer, paella or as a good old-fashioned shrimp dish.
