chilerejer

Species: Heterocarpus reedi

Our Chile shrimp are, as the name indicates, fished off the coast of Chile by boats that typically only are at sea one day at a time. This is possible because the Pacific off Chile is so deep and cold that fishermen do not have to sail for many hours to reach the fishing grounds. The shrimp are cooked, hand peeled and frozen within 24 hours after they are caught. This process gives the beautiful color, texture and flavor that make this product so unique.

We recommend our Chile shrimp for a luxurious shrimp salad, as part of a starter, in a paella or an open-faced shrimp sandwich.

We offer Chile shrimp in the following assortments:

As brine product in plastic tubs:
1500 grams gross weight/900 grams drained weight
800 grams gross weight /400 grams drained weight
400 grams gross weight/200 grams drained weight
